Old / Young Earth Creationism (OEC / YEC).....?.?

...so what's the question? Actually, I know people who are convinced that the earth is 4 thousand years old. They claim they can prove it, but I tend to tune out pretty early in the conversation so I can't tell you how they go about doing that. =P
