Yahoo! is undermining the average persons ability by giving them points for answering questions, agree?
I might agree, when I first started I did not even notice the point system; until I asked and answered a few questions. The knowledge sharing alone was enough for me. But the points keep it a little more interesting for me, along with the best answer comparison to overall answers. If it was money instead of points, I would agree it to be a insult. For money you would have a lower quality of answers, because more people who only care about money and not knowledge would participate. Bottom line for me the point system helps to keep exchanging of ideas fresh, while also giving me a quick way to gage the success of my given answers. This peer to peer model is better than any search engine, because it uses the best search engine ever; the human mind.
