Why are old people so annoying when it comes to pregnancy and babies!?

Ok so me and my fiances dad and his side of the family have never really gotten along. Thank god i hardly ever have to see them. SO when i heard my fiances nana was in town i was annoyed, as i knew we would have to go and see her. I have a 12 month old and am 23 weeks pregnant. She asked about how the pregnancy is going and asked if we know the (my fiance rang her the day we found out and told her, so she already knew) and i said 'yep, its a girl' and she said 'well it could still be a boy ya know' and i said 'well a boy would look pretty funny with a ' and she said 'stranger things have happened, i hope people arent buying you pink things just in case its a boy' then i just sort of ignored her because i couldnt be bothered arguing, THEN she said "id be packing boys clothes to take to hospital when you give birth, so he doesnt look silly in pink" and i just said "there will be white things". Like WTF is she thinking!! The scan i had wasnt the best but he couldnt see a willy and he said that it looked like a but the baby was being difficult. For my sons birthday which was the weekend just been she didnt give him a card or a present, she just gave us a little it of money to buy him something, didnt ask how his party was or anything. And now my fiances dad (he lives over in the uk) is coming home for a month at xmas time. he has never sent anything for him, not even a card, never asks about him or my pregnancy and now he keeps saying things like 'i can take the kids off your hands when i come home' and 'il take the little man camping for a few days' and when i told him he is ore than welcome to see thm but that i will not be leaving them with him, he got really offended and has been saying stuff to my fiance about how he has 16 months to catch up on etc etc but he has never been interested until he started thinking abut coming home. i man my son will only be 16 months old and my daughter could be anywhere from 2 weeks-6 weeks old. i dont think id even leave a 16 year old with him! He isnt responsible at all. sorry, this is more of a rant but i had to get it off my chest, im just frustrated after spending a long day with an ignorant old woman
